EAA CHAPTER 822

April 2006 Newsletter

Our April 2006 meeting will be THURSDAY, 13 April 2006, at the “Yak Shack on Wetumpka Municipal Airport at 6:30 PM.

Starting in April we will be meeting at the Yak Shack once more where food will be provided for the usual nominal charge. Meeting time will stay the same, 6:30 pm the second Thursday of the month (April 13). Since we have an airport fly-in on May 13, as in the past we will not have a formal meeting that month. Be sure to put the fly-in on your schedule. We will be soliciting workers for setting up the tents, tables, and chairs as we get closer to May.

Our April program will be a power point presentation on the B-2 Bomber given by Lt. Col. John Warden of the Air Force Doctrine Center at Maxwell AFB. John started off his flying career in the B-52 and, more recently, flew the B-2. He will be available for Q and A after the presentation.

From Larry Carter, Our Chapter President: As some of you may know, we are going to loose Neal George in July when he will be transferred to Destin. Neal has been a tremendous help to me as Vice President and YE Coordinator. I really hate to see him go. He has become a good friend and, since acquiring his A&P last year, a valuable resource. I would appreciate it if you would contact me if you feel you would like to help out in either of those two jobs.

A door prize will be awarded to the lucky winner of our monthly drawing.

If you would like to receive the newsletter via e-mail instead of “snail mail”, please let me know via an e-mail to: 4171kc@elmore.rr.com

Invite a new prospective member to the April 2006 meeting. If you see an old member who hasn’t been around in a while, invite them back.

Fly Safe!!
